The property itself, with its Cotswold stone construction, has been well maintained by its current with updates made throughout the house. The house is packed with period features, such as fireplaces, flagstone floors and exposed beams. It is also attractive from all its elevations - including its original west-facing double-fronted facade.
There are three floors of accommodation, all of which have views over the beautifully kept garden, providing manageable, comfortable modern living within this historic home.

The south-facing garden has been landscaped to make the most of the space available and benefits from well-stocked herbaceous borders and mature trees as well as areas of lawn and patio. There is a "hidden garden" behind a beech hedge that benefits from established fruit trees and a vegetable patch - ideal for keen gardeners. There is also a beautiful summerhouse.
Lime Tree House is surrounded by open countryside - it is a magnificent setting that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
There is a gated in/out driveway to the front, parking for numerous vehicles and a double width carport. The outbuildings provide plenty of storage and there is a very useful separate annexe over the carport with a bedroom, kitchen/sitting room, and a shower. This would be ideal for staff accommodation or guests.

Asthall is the archetypal Cotswold unspoilt village with a mixture of pretty cottages and larger attractive homes. It has a 12th Century church and a popular pub called the Maytime Inn which has recently been acquired by Daylesford. There are some wonderful walks to nearby Swinbrook and surrounding villages. Burford is within easy reach and provides more pubs, shops and hotels. Witney is only 5 miles away and has Waitrose and major supermarkets. The A40 links Cheltenham to Oxford. Mainline trains to London are picked up in Charlbury and Soho Farmhouse is just 17 miles away. Schooling can be found in nearby Burford and independent schools are within easy reach in Cheltenham and Oxford.
